CALL FOR ARTWORK: Plantasia - Clark County Residents Only
Ends on
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Sunday, July 6, 2025 @ 11:59 PM PST
Announcing our newest open call for art, Plantasia!
We’re excited to share a call for art, especially made for plant lovers! This exhibition draws inspiration from its eponym, Mother Earth’s Plantasia by Mort Garson. People have been fascinated by plants throughout the ages and have caused multiple plant crazes; the most recent one came from the COVID lockdowns of 2020. Plants are extensions of our environment, and many of us use them to keep our homes lively. Plants can be grown from seeds or other types of propagation too, but when life ends, they can also be composted to support new growth. Plants are integral to our world, but really, life in general and requires devotion and care. We ask artists to think about what it means to keep plants in pots or to create manicured gardens within boundaries. How do we view plants compared to other living beings? Plants are beautiful and we expect to see a lot of beautiful work done for this exhibition.
